Folosa Tutorial: from account to usable VTT files

Follow these steps in order. You will create an account, add credits if needed, upload art you own, generate a transparent WebM token package, download the ZIP, and place the files in Foundry or Roll20.

1. Register and top up 2. Generate a token 3. Download the ZIP 4. Use the files

01

Register, verify, and check credits

  1. Open Account from the top right icon or choose VIP Portal from the navigation.
  2. Create an account with your email and password, then verify the email if the site asks for verification.
  3. Open the credit or VIP panel. New verified accounts may include trial credits; if you need more, choose the tier that matches your export quality.
  4. After payment, return to Account and confirm that credits were added before starting a large batch.

02

Upload source art and generate the token

  1. Go to The Forge and upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP reference image that you own or have permission to use.
  2. Choose the target platform: Foundry for module-friendly output, Roll20 for direct WebM use, or Apple/MOV when you need ProRes Alpha.
  3. Pick quality. Use 512p for normal live play; reserve HD or 4K for bosses, previews, or commercial review.
  4. Choose a motion preset such as idle loop, spell cast, bow aim, or summon. Add short motion notes only when the preset needs clarification.
  5. Submit the task and keep the page open until the queue confirms the job. You can return later to Recent Assets if needed.

Download and inspect the ZIP

  1. When the task finishes, click Download ZIP or open Recent Assets and download from the completed item.
  2. Unzip the package on your computer. Keep the original ZIP until you confirm the VTT import works.
  3. Look for transparent WebM files first. Foundry packages may also include module.json, assets/tokens paths, thumbnails, NOTICE, LICENSE, and import notes.
  4. If a file looks wrong or is 0 bytes, open Support Tickets and include the task id instead of paying again immediately.

04

Use the downloaded files in your VTT

  1. Foundry manual import: copy the module folder into Data/modules, enable it in your world, then choose the WebM under modules/<pack-id>/assets/tokens/ as the token image.
  2. Foundry direct file use: upload the WebM to your world or assets folder, then set it in Prototype Token or Token Configuration > Token Image.
  3. Roll20: upload the compact WebM from the Roll20 folder or the 512p export, place it on the map layer, and test animation before game time.
  4. For crowded scenes, use fewer animated tokens, prefer 512p loops, and keep PNG fallbacks for background creatures.

Before you upload

Use art you created, commissioned, licensed, or otherwise have permission to process. Folosa Engine is designed for VTT asset rendering, transparent WebM export, and Foundry/Roll20-friendly packaging, not prompt-only replacement art.
